Taiji Qigong Shibashi
This method of Qigong was developed in China in 1979 by Professor Lin Housheng. It is an effective exercise, blending the gentle and fluid art of Taiji with the strength of Qigong producing potent health benefits.
The movements increase energetic vitality, rejuvenate the body and mind, boost physical agility and flexibility. It is also an aid to reduce emotional tension and improve concentration.
This system was created so that just simply doing the movements as a gentle exercise will bring about the positive results of relaxation, gentle stretching and muscular development.
One of the beautiful things about this form is that the movements all follow harmonious connectivity through the body. The wave like, fluid motions of the form stimulate the flow of Qi and blood throughout the entire body. Practicing Shibashi will balance your Qi, improving your wellbeing and the quality of your life.
Why so popular?
Because of its many health benefits. It is so effective that it is part of the curriculum of most Chinese Medicine Universities in China. It is also promoted as a health exercise by the governments of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

"Through the practice of Taiji Qigong Shibashi, we learn how to harmonize and integrate the Jing - manifested by good posture, the Qi - associated by deep slow breathing and the Shen - represented by the state of tranquility and observation into a single exercise. Only when all three elements are combined can we say that we are doing Qigong. It's fluid and gentle movements combine to make it one of the most popular and effective forms to improve your quality of life. "
